It was a foundry and harbour town, and the Victorian industrial terraces at Copperhouse are still the backbone of it, but the regeneration along North Quay has added a substantial stock of modern apartments with entirely modern systems. Then there are the Towans, three miles of dunes carrying a very large holiday-park population.

What catches people out in Hayle
The three property types need three genuinely different skill sets, and that is the point of using a firm that works across all of them. The quayside apartments run unvented cylinders and pressurised systems that legally require the right ticket to touch and that fail in ways an old open-vented system never did. Copperhouse terraces are the opposite problem — original layouts, old pipework, tight spaces. And the Towans are LPG territory with the seasonal pattern that comes with holiday accommodation. Estuary-facing property also gets a fair share of the salt exposure you would expect on an open coast.
